Recent tv: SVU, Once upon a time, Sleepy Hollow

Soo SVU don't feed my Carisi/Barba feels just now..too bad. Liv/Barba are going strong. The show seems to be setting up Liv and Dodds to date..uh, no. I adore Peter Gallagher, but not his character here. Uh oh..is Scott William Winters(Cyril from Oz) Rollins' baby daddy?
Oh the cases, Barba kicked ass in ep 4, Whoopi Goldberg knocked it out of the park as the social worker. Oh well at least they haven't dissed Elliot yet.

Once is back, and umm..I skipped season4, this is kinda neat. I love Rumple as the bad influence on Emma and Regina getting her knife.
Merida seems cool. Soo..forgotten memories again? Merlin?
People getting their knickers in a twist(ha) over Mulan's lesbian romance. Yay!
I hope it's an epic with many ladies kissing and snuggling and explicit declarations of love, Brokeback Once style. Will probably be about fifteen minutes of hand-holding and eye-fucking sandwiched between Emma going dark and Zelena chewing scenery though.

Sleepy Hollow is lost after a lousy season. Ichabbie feels were drowned by Betsy Ross aka Katrina 2.0-great! Sigh.
Niki Reed can't act. Pandora is cool so far and Jenny contiunes to be great.
Missing Irving though. Hawley who?
Betsy just made my list of bad characters easily. Shape up writers. Fast.

UGH SLEEPY HOLLOW

I was cautiously optimistic about this season (even though I liked both Henry and Katrina, so it didn't bother me that they were around exactly, although I did prefer them both as minor characters), but I think I'm going to have to give it up. I've seen two episodes and -- just. No. No!

Frankly my hugest issue with the show right now is the believability issues, as in, there is none. And I don't mean the supernatural stuff, which obvs requires an immediate suspension of belief. I mean the everyday regular junk that is absolute nonsense. Like Abbie is suddenly a Fed, after completing just five months' worth of "training" at Quantico, and just as suddenly she's been coincidentally assigned to her hometown as lead on some huge smuggling case. No! Also just as suddenly, her Quantico classmate gets assigned to be the Regional Director (of her vagina). After... a month of being an agent for the FBI. NO. ESPECIALLY NO if they were fucking around together at the Academy.

So I can't do both, like, I can't be suspending my belief for BOTH supernatural and regular things. They've established that it's modern-day and current, and it pisses me off when writers are lazy about things that they can look up on the internet in two seconds -- like for one thing, as a Federal agent, you'll never get assigned to your hometown. Maybe under extenuating circumstances, or when you're about to retire or something? But never as a newbie. Also no one gets an office like that. Even those guys on Criminal Minds all share a general groundfloor office area. And basically all of the other MANY things that actually just don't work that way, Show, and just because you're telling me that they do does not make it so. /rhyme

I am still also annoyed that the writers are so incredibly reliant on the kind of writing where it's all "you guys we need the amulet of x'loth or we're all going to dieeeee" *two seconds later* "oh here it is" because how the hell am I supposed to care about your show when YOU DO NOT.

...sorry. I have a lot of ranty feels on SH, because I love Abbie and Jenny, and Crane too. But I also cannot take BAMF!Betsy Ross -- history had her all wrong! She was really a spy/warrior/NINJA!!!1! -- and whatever ridiculous "thing" she had "going" with Crane. This interferes with the Katrina timeline anyway, it's like the writers figure we've forgotten everything already (which okay generally we have but since Katrina was supposedly Crane's One True Love, I have to wonder where BAMF!Betsy figured into it all).

Supposedly there's a new showrunner this season and I *want* things to go well. IDK. Ugh.

Ugh they are the worst with the FBI-stuff-loved Ichabod being all possessive of Abbie in front of her ex-sorry bad feminist here.
Betsy is so anachronistic it hurts-and she'll no doubt be in modern times. I don't want Ichabod to have cheated on his beloved wife. Bad actress all round, gahh.
I don't want Jenny to hook up with new dude.
Peter Mensah will be on the show-this is relevant to my interests as he was on Spartacus and is super-super hot and badass. Sigh. Can't stop watching now.
