Recent tv: The Night Manager, Hap and Leonard

Hap and Leonard fufilled my expectations..James Purefoy and Michael K Williams double act is delicious but I don't care much for the plot. Christina Hendricks femme fatale is a bit simple, but it's early days. Her and Leonard's rivalry is cute though.
Not quite Bedelia/Will levels of toxicity but give it time.

The Night Manager is a miniseries based on a John Le Carre novel. It stars Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie. Hiddleston is cute as ever, and the plot intricate if not Tinker tailor Solider spy levels of difficult.
Laurie is an arms dealer and Hiddleston seeks to bring him down. I swear I don't go looking for slashy things..but well..it's there. Okay I lied, I do look for them. Laurie is used to them.

I haven't watched Hap and Leonard yet but it's on to do list. The night manager is not my thing, even if I loved Thinker Tailor soldier spy, it's really too slow (or maybe not slow but wimpy) but my ovaries love it. For the plot of course.

I love it so far. The bromance is lovely, plus I love seeing Omar from the Wire being a badass.
Oh yes, for the plot..heh.
