Spoilers under the cut.
I'd love to like Vinyl..but no. Cannavale chews his scenery a bit too much and the plot is just silly. The Alice Cooper stuff felt okayish, but too much like ticking off boxes: golf, fake beheadings, solo deal..
I'm way more interested in the female wanna be A/R person and her deal than Richie Finestra and his raging drug habit. I'll keep watching for her.
The Night Manager delivers. Oh so many slashy bits in ep 4. From Tom Hollander groping Hiddleston's ass to Hugh Laurie dressing him up and being all touchy-feely. Said ass was on display in the love scene while the female partner was fully clothed. Female gaze? Yes, the director is Susanne Bier. She said in an interview that Le Carre loved her work on the series.
The plot was moving forward nicely, and that was a stunning cliffhanger. Love it.
