Spoilers under the cut.

Finally saw it and it was a headtrip. Bless them for staying true to the comics. Cumberbatch was a great Strange, and Tilda Swinton's wise Ancient One was as otherwordly as she needed to be. Much love for badass librarian Wong, conflicted Mordo and Christine.
Some of the action/mystic sequences were unparalled in their beauty and thrill.
Speaking of beauty..Mikkelsen ruled as Kaecilius, dangerous and proud and heart-broken in equal measure. His background could have been further explored, but he really wasn't the usual bland villain. His expressive face was used marvelously when Strange has him trapped in a bondage device. Kinky.
The love story was a weak point, but Christine's responses to Strange's strange world felt necessary. She was a good audience surrogate here, to anchor the story in some form of reality. The bit with her watch was touching. It was too early for a certain otherwordly princess to enter the fray..next time?
Loved the animated cloak, it really loved its master.
Five stars, would recommend.
