Very old spoilers under the cut.
Hex. Very nice and sometimes odd story of a young witch and her true love/enemy and her best friend, the sarcastic ghost Thelma. The jumps between scares and humor didn't always work but mostly this was good. S2 introduced action girl Ella and upped the stakes. Ella is the daughter of John Dee, so full points for that. Her being attracted to Malachi feels kind of inevitable given Cassie and Azazeal's thing in s 1. It ends on a big cliffhanger before getting cancelled.
Brimstone. Very nineties-era sort of horror, cop Ezekiel Stone is dead but gets a second chance at life by capturing souls that escaped from hell. John Glover is the devil, and he has a hell of a time goading and helping Eli. One season and done sadly, I wish we could have gotten more. The ending does feel satisfying. I loved seeing Michelle Forbes and Lori Petty on here. Some very intriguing haunted souls get the spotlight, and Zeke/The Devil is a ship I love.
